Project Green
Project Green is a club that was established five years ago with Mr. Davis and Mrs. Juarez as advisors.
The purpose of Project Green is to make students aware of their environment and become better citizens of the Earth. Below are a list of activities that students participate in as part of Project Green:
- Every two years we attend the Youth Environmental Summit held in Yakima.
- Students participate in Waste to Want, a repurposing competition
- Recycling and fundraising for EVC PTO during Earth Week
- Campus clean-ups
- Leading various programs that are focused on reducing campus waste
In addition to these activities, last year we raised funds for a global services project called H2O for Life to aid in obtaining clean drinking water and hand washing education for 900 people living in Uganda. We are currently in the process of finding a local service project for the current school year.
