Mr. Hevland holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with his minor in Early Childhood Education from Central Washington University and a Master’s of Education in School Administration degree from Central Washington University. He started his educational career in Toppenish, and has taught in Ellensburg and Naches. Mr. Hevland spent 12 years in the classroom before transitioning in 2014 into educational administration as the Assistant Principal for East Valley Central Middle School.  He is currently the principal of East Valley Central Middle school and looks forward to the opportunity to continue to EVC’s path of improvement in this new capacity. According to Mr. Hevland, "...East Valley Central has the brightest students and the most dedicated staff that I’ve worked with in my 20 years in education.
