I am happy to be starting my fifth year of teaching music in the East Valley School District.  Every morning starts at EVE teaching elementary music, and then I go to EVC in the afternoons to teach two choirs and one piano keyboard class. Some days I head back to EVE to finish off my teaching day.   Before teaching at EVSD, I was in Toppenish for two years, and prior to that, I was a freelance flutist/musician in the Seattle area for 25 years.  I have two degrees in flute performance ~ a Bachelor's degree from North Park College in Chicago, and a Master's degree from the University of Idaho.  My teaching certificate is from CWU.  

 

I live with my family on a small farm in Zillah.  We have 7 acres of pears, and we raise or grow most of the food we eat.  My two kids go to Zillah HS and my husband is an architect and a farmer.  In my spare time I like to MAKE or CREATE things - food to eat, sweaters to knit - and I also like to garden and do yoga.  I've uploaded a few pictures for you to check out some of my creations. 

 

I really enjoy making music with students at EVSD.  Through music I hope to pass on my love for creating things to my students.
