National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is November 13-21, 2021. Homelessness and hunger are current economic and social hardships reaching all communities across the United States and especially as the Covid crisis continues to affect many families. EVSD currently has over 100 families qualifying as homeless under the Federal McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act guidelines. Moxee Booster Club is joining forces with EVSD’s Special Programs in efforts to support our EV families needing assistance throughout the coming months.
As we are approaching the Thanksgiving break next week and the upcoming Christmas Holiday in December, please consider joining our cause by donating to the 2021 EV Holiday Meal Train sponsored by Moxee Booster Club and EVSD’s Special Programs to assist our most needy students and families in the EV school community.
A $25 donation will purchase a Holiday Meal box that includes an 8- 10lb. turkey, potatoes, gravy, rolls, margarine, canned vegetables, and a pie to feed a family of 4-6. We will gladly accept any amount of a donation via cash or check made out to Moxee Booster Club towards the purchase of meals for our EV families. Call, text, or email us today to donate to the EV Holiday Meal Train. It takes a village, together we will make a difference! Thank you for your continued support. Happy Holidays!
Donations: Cash, Checks, or Venmo will be accepted. Please make checks payable to: Moxee Booster Club. Venmo: Jeri-Young-8
