Volunteer of the Day

In honor of Public School Volunteer week, we'd like to take the opportunity to recognize some of the outstanding individuals that give back to our students and schools.Today we're honoring Jim Burnham of East Valley Central!

Mr. Burnham has been a dedicated volunteer of East Valley Schools for 17 years, working closely with Mrs. Snodgrass. We thank Mr. Burnham for his service to our schools and students. #EastValleyENGAGED

SBA Testing Dates for '17-'18

May 1st 8AM-10:25AM – ELA CAT
May 8th – 11th. during ELA period – ELA PT
May 15th – 17th during math block – Math SBA
May 22nd 8AM-10:25AM – 8th grade science test (8th graders only)

Skyward System Down

Update (Wednesday, April 23, 2018 @ 8:28AM) - Skyward will continue to be down through the rest of the day. Thank you for your patience.

Attention Families -
Due to a failure during a system upgrade, Skyward is currently experiencing service interruptions state-wide. They anticipate that these issues should be corrected by Wednesday. In the meantime, Family Access will not be operational. This means that families will be unable to add money to student lunch accounts and will not have access to Skyward grade books and other features. Students will not be denied lunch. All charges for lunches during the service interruption will be entered when systems are back in order.

We will keep you informed when service is restored.

When our Chair of the East ValleySchool Board of Directors, Charlotte Layman, heard of Baldwin’s Boutique, she had to know more! As it turns out, Mrs. Jeanette Baldwin, the math intervention teacher at East Valley Central, has been counting more than just numbers in her classroom... she’s also been sorting and counting clothes!

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION OPEN!

Kindergarten registration for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year is now open! We encourage families to register students by June 1st so that you're ready to attend kindergarten screening on June 7-8th! You can register your incoming kindergartener by picking up a packet at your child’s home school.

Washington School Improvement Framework Released

The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) recently released a new framework for identifying schools for additional support. Click the title of this article to get more information about how our East Valley Schools measured up.

As this is a new program, full details on how support will be implemented hasn’t yet been established within our district. As more information is released over the next few weeks, we will continue to add information to this webpage.

EVHS Construction Parking Plan

We are excited to begin construction on our East Valley High School project next week. Parking, bus lane and student pick-up/drop-off changes for East Valley High School will be in effect on Monday, March 19, 2018 to accommodate our construction project. Please review the attached map to prepare for these changes.

EVHS Groundbreaking Ceremony

The East Valley School District invites you to join us as we BREAK GROUND on the East Valley High School Expansion and Modernization project. This event will be held at EVHS at 5:30PM on Monday, March 19th - Remarks will be made by East Valley School District, Loofburrow Wetch Architects and Fowler General Construction, Inc.
